Centerline’s philosophy is to design and construct buildings that fulfill our clients needs while remaining connected to the site and integrating into the surrounding context. We believe a well-designed building should be efficient in its size, life cycle costs, energy consumption, overall environmental impact, as well as a healthy place to live and work. The use of local materials, craftspeople, and construction techniques links the project to the community and helps to sustain the regional economy. Two designers on our staff are LEED Accredited Professionals with the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), including the firm's principal. We are committed to design excellence and sensitivity for both our client and the site, with a flexibility to listen, as well as lead, when it is in the best interest of the project.

Centerline has developed a sound relationship with an excellent group of consultants, who have proven to be knowledgeable, efficient, and productive. To ensure that the quality, schedule, and cost of a project are not compromised, we provide thorough evaluation during the planning stages with the necessary code agencies and regulatory boards to assure code approvals and positive planning board reviews. Our goal is to provide a flexible attitude toward our client’s wishes, yet provide them with the experience necessary to produce a cost effective project that is safe, sustainable, and sensitive.
Our design approach is inclusive, working with our client and required consultants, combining knowledge and talents to achieve a creative direction best suited to the project. We believe sensitivity to the surrounding cultural context of a site, synthesized with the desires of the client are vital to achieving a strong design. Budget and schedule concerns are key to a successful outcome for everyone involved, and we make every effort to pinpoint and reduce potential issues early in the process.
