The intention of this projetc was to consolidate and accommodate staff from another building by renovating an existing upstairs storage area into new corporate office space. The space planning provides for a modest amount of future staff, a lounge for informal discussions, two conference rooms and a combination of new offices and cubicles. Colors and materials were chosen to provide a warm natural feel to the office environment even on a cold winters day. The design provides integration of permanent offices with open office systems and conference rooms. The final configuration allows for flexibility and expansion as future publication needs fluctuate. The open plan provides a friendly atmosphere and easy access to team leaders which mirror the company’s employee work ethic.
