This eighteenth century house was preserved and enlarged to meet the requirements of the owner.
All spaces are modernized with efficient and appropriate infrastructure. The interior spaces include a post and beam construction reminiscent of early vernacular New England
construction. A visually open plan is incorporated with this structure to creat dynamic spaces and views in all directions. The five barns include an early New England dairy barn,
milk house, ice house, calf house and granary. The renovation preserves the original forms yet provides a large entertainment center along with 15 sleeping spaces for quests.
The systems include oil fired boilers, hydronic base board, and air handling units for heating and cooling.
