Cossayuna Lake Camp
Argyle, New York

This camp in the Adirondacks was left to deteriorate for 40 years. Restored from shambles with salvaged and recycled materials it now retains its prominent position on the western bluff of the lake. Improvements include new electrical systems with metal clad cable, zoned heating and cooling systems, high performance exterior shell, foundations, service kitchen and bathing facilities.

Wood wall paneling was made from salvaged interior rough sawn boards, ceiling fir bead board was carefully removed, stripped and coated with tung oil and then reinstalled. All gypsum board and homasote finishes were removed and replaced with all-natural materials.

New docks and a beach area were built on the 65-acre property.
