Camp Cedarbrook

Camp Cedarbrook is a 60-year-old Lutheran camp that was newly acquired by Lakeview Ministries. Centerline, along with a design team comprised of members from Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio, were asked to provide a Master Planning study. The study was focused on developing the camp into a summer camp, convention center, and public gathering venue.

Unique to this project, the design process began at the micro-level of the design of the camp's cabins. Once the cabin design was completed, the design of the entire camp worked outwards from this element. The site was also unique, in that it was split between a high elevated portion and a low flat portion. The final design took these two different spaces and used them as a means to split the private and public programmatic elements of the camp.
