Gary Corey, RA, AIA, LEED AP

Owner/Principal Architect

Mr. Corey is founding partner of Centerline Architects.  Gary has focused the practice on a collaborative process believing that creativity is a product of discovery through interaction.  This collective approach (in the office and with clients) has won the firm numerous awards for their work. “We look at every project with fresh eyes and look for the opportunities to make them come alive”.

 

He is a registered architect in the States of Vermont, Massachusetts, New York and New Hampshire.  He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and is the recent Past President of the Vermont Chapter.  He is a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.  He is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional.

 

Mr. Corey graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Kansas State University (KSU) in Manhattan, Kansas and received his Associates Degree with honors in Architectural and Building Technologies from Vermont Technical College (VTC) in Randolph, VT.  During his undergraduate years he was selected for membership in the Phi Kappa Phi Scholastic Honor Society and the Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society of Architecture.

 

Mr. Corey formerly served as the Economic Development Committee Chair for the Better Bennington Corporation (BBC) and he is also a former Downtown Improvement District Commissioner for the Town of Bennington and has also served on the board of directors for the following community organizations: Vermont Career Development Center Building Trades program, the BBC, and the Bennington Region Preservation Trust.
