Happy Valley Residence Hall, Marlboro College

Marlboro, Vermont

Centerline Architects began a relationship with Marlboro College by first conducting a study of multiple buildings within the campus to identify building deficiencies and code compliancy of various residence halls. The study was accompanied by schematic level programming and conceptual designs for solutions in addressing these deficiencies.

Centerline was then commissioned to begin renovations on select residence halls. We completed renovations at the Happy Valley Residence Hall. This residence hall also houses a performance lounge for students to conduct recitals which holds importance due to the rich history the college has with the arts and musical theory. Renovations to the building included achieving ADA compliancy, updating electrical service and power distribution, installing a new NFPA sprinkler system, updating the exterior envelope, and finish upgrades throughout the interior.
